She is featured in several women's skateboarding videos such as AKA: Girl Skater and Getting Nowhere Faster. She also appears in the video game Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, making her the third female as a playable skater to appear in the Tony Hawk's video game series, the first being Elissa Steamer and second being Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins. In 2003, Torres became the first female skateboarder to win a gold medal at the X Games.
